2026-2027 Grant Programs:
Microgrants for 2026 are available. Microgrants are one-time up to $1,000 funding available for the Olentangy River District Churches' mission and ministry seed money or emergency needs.
Quarterly deadlines for 2026 Microgrant submission: February 18, May 6, August 5, November 11.
Local Outreach Grants applications for 2027 are now available! These grants are awarded annually to congregations starting new outreach ministries and those with existing community ministries that are evolving. The purpose of the grant funding is to enable congregations to find specific ways to reach out to their community in hands-on service ministries with an emphasis on building relationships with those being served. Please consider the West Ohio Conference's Five Missional Pillars and how the church's ministry supports those pillars when applying.
The deadline for grant applications to be submitted is Monday, October 5 at 12 PM.
Other Grant Opportunities: Grant applications for District Mission Centers and Freedom Schools are also available for 2027 and due October 5. Please consult with the UMCM Director or District Superintendent before applying for these special grant categories.
All applications must be on-time and complete when submitted. The application links are listed on this webpage. The UMCM Committee will meet to review all grant applications and award funding at their quarterly meetings. Local Outreach, District Mission Center, and Freedom School applications will be considered at the annual fall meeting in November.
Interim Grant Reports: For 2026 Local Outreach and District Mission Center grant recipients, the Interim Grant Report is due August 31 to receive the second half of grant funding for the year. Please find the interim grant report and sample financial report below.
