Reba Collins, Leader of Teaching Session

Reba Collins served the West Ohio Conference for six years as the All In Community consultant. During this time, she led a team of volunteers to develop a strategic model of justice-involved engagement, connecting over 1,000 United Methodist Churches to over 1,300 state and local restorative justice community partners. Reba currently serves as All In Community’s Community Engagement Coordinator. She works across Ohio to build collaborative partnerships with UM groups and members and local groups to restore hope and support healing among members and neighbors impacted by crime and the criminal justice system.

As AIC Community Engagement Coordinator, Reba focuses on creating mutual learning and collaborative environments where UM members and leaders can connect and partner with local correctional institutions, reentry professionals and organizations walking with justice involved individuals and families. She develops and leads AIC’s leadership development efforts and the Building Bridges of Opportunity efforts in planning and implementing an annual statewide reentry gathering, the Community Experience.  

Reba is a certified trainer in the Healing Communities Framework, International Institute for Restorative Practices Listening Circles Facilitation, and is a Qualified Administrator for the Intercultural Development Inventory. She, also, serves West Ohio as a lay representative on the Board of Ordained Ministry and as a Cultural Guide. Reba holds a Baccalaureate of Arts degree from William Jewell College (Liberty, MO), a Master’s of Education degree from Vanderbilt University (Nashville, TN), and a Graduate Certificate in Restorative Practices from the International Institute for Restorative Practices (Bethlehem, PA).


Celebration of Ministry Ecumenical Partner Participant- Bishop Daniel G. Beaudoin

Participating in our Celebration of Ministry is Bishop Daniel G. Beaudoin from the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA), our Ecumenical Partner. He was elected to the Episcopacy in 2016 after serving 20 years as a pastor in local churches. For two years he served as Dean of the North Central Conference.

Bishop Beaudoin and his wife, Rachel, are parents to three children: Joshua, Elijah, and Hanna and grandparents to George, Homer, and Evelyn. In addition to spending time with family, Beaudoin loves reading, running with the Toledo Roadrunner’s Club, and eating Mediterranean food.

A student of the scripture, Beaudoin holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Oakland, a Master of Divinity from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio, and a Master of Arts in Medieval History from the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio.


Memorial Service Preacher – Bishop Julius C. Trimble

The featured speaker for the Memorial Service is Bishop Julius C. Trimble, Episcopal leader of the Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church since 2016.

Elected in 2008, Bishop Trimble served the Iowa Conference of The United Methodist Church for eight years before being appointed to the Indiana Conference. Prior to the Episcopacy, he pastored churches in the Northern Illinois and East Ohio Conferences. Trimble also served as the District Superintendent for the Cleveland District from 1996-2003.

A native of Chicago, Illinois, Bishop Trimble graduated from Illinois State University, earned a Master of Divinity from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary and his Doctor of Ministry from Ashland Theological Seminary in Ohio.

A published author and host of the podcast, “Be Encouraged with Bishop Julius C. Trimble,” Bishop Trimble’s personal mission statement is “to encourage all people with the love of Jesus Christ to rise to their highest potential.”

Bishop Trimble and his wife, First Lady Racelder Grandberry-Trible are the parents of three adult children: Cameron, Candiace (Herman) Wake, and Julius Thomas. They are also proud grandparents to Corrine Candiace Wake.
