“I was hungry and you gave me something to eat … I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” These words from Matthew 25:35 are the heart behind the 25:35 Crew, a growing network of United Methodists committed to serving neighbors with compassion, dignity, and practical care.
One goal of the 25:35 Crew is to equip local churches with centralized information for responding to food insecurity. The East and West Ohio Conferences 25:35 Crew food resource page includes food resource listings by district, updates, and a statewide food resource link and contact information for sharing additions or corrections. Conference members are also encouraged to look for and share food assistance resources through conference communication channels so congregations can better connect people with help close to home.
These pages are more than lists; they are tools for ministry. This page equips churches and their leaders to respond to families seeking support. A current resource page helps turn concern into connection and compassion into action.
Churches, outreach teams, missions’ committees, and community partners are invited to visit the conference webpages, bookmark the food resource information, and share it with staff, volunteers, and neighbors. If your church knows of a food pantry, meal ministry, community distribution, or other local resources that should be included, please help keep the information current by sharing updates with conference contacts.
The 25:35 Crew reminds us that feeding people is not only a program; it is part of our call to see Christ in our neighbors and respond with love. By using and sharing these food resource webpages, we can strengthen the connection between churches and communities and help more people find the support they need.
