Registration deadlines are approaching for the West Ohio Joint Leadership Training Days. The Joint Leadership Training Days are designed to equip leaders in local churches for effective ministry.
Registration deadlines for Joint Leadership Training Days are:
Scioto River and Great Miami River Districts – Friday, January 16
Maumee River and Western Lakes Districts – Sunday, January 18
Olentangy River and Hocking River Districts – Thursday, January 22
SCIOTO RIVER & GREAT MIAMI RIVER DISTRICTS JOINT TRAINING TO BE HELD SATURDAY, JANUARY 24
The Scioto River and Great Miami Districts will host a joint Leadership Training Day Saturday, January 24, 9:00 AM -2:30 PM at Faith Community UMC in Xenia. Lunch will be provided. All clergy and laity are encouraged to attend.
The keynote speaker will be Superintendent Kelly Brown. Rev. Brown is currently the District Superintendent of the West Plains District, East Ohio Conference. Breakout sessions will also be offered on several topics, including Discipleship, Finance, Small Church Leadership, Immigration, and more.
Registration deadline is Friday, January 16, 2026.

OLENTANGY RIVER & HOCKING RIVER DISTRICTS JOINT TRAINING TO BE HELD THURSDAY, JANUARY 29
The Olentangy River and Hocking River Districts will hold a joint leadership training on Thursday, January 29, 9:30 AM- 2:00 PM at Crossroads Ministry Center in Lancaster. Lunch will be provided. All clergy and laity are encouraged to attend.
Presenters for the day include Rev. Mark Chow, District Superintendent of the Hocking River District, and leaders from the West Ohio Conference Staff.
The day will begin with worship, followed by workshops throughout the day covering the following topics: Stewardship, Trustees, Staff -Parish Relations Committee, and more.
Registration deadline is Thursday, January 22.

MAUMEE RIVER & WESTERN LAKES DISTRICTS JOINT TRAINING TO BE HELD SUNDAY, JANUARY 25
The Maumee River and Western Lakes Districts will hold a joint leadership training on Sunday, January 25, 1:30 PM – 5:30 PM at Findlay St. Andrews in Findlay. All clergy and laity are encouraged to attend.
The keynote speaker will be Rev. Kelly Brown, District Superintendent of the West Plains District, East Ohio Conference. His keynote address is titled,
“Leadership Development for Church Health.” Breakout Sessions will also be offered on several topics, including Next Gen and Youth Ministries, Asset Mapping for Mission, Creation Care, the Ethics of Social Media, and more.
Registration deadline is Sunday, January 18.
