The General Board of Higher Education and Ministry Scholarships offers financial aid to United Methodist students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees. Every year, an average of $4 million is awarded to help students in the United States and abroad pursue their dreams through higher education.
This year, GBHEM is partnering with International Scholarship and Tuition Services Inc. (ISTS) to provide an online application and database for our programs.

Apply for a Scholarship to attend a United Methodist College or University
The United Methodist Higher Education Foundation offers financial support for Methodist students to be educated at a United Methodist-related institution of higher education. We award $2+ million in scholarships annually.
Applicants must be an active, full member of The United Methodist Church, African Methodist Episcopal Church, AME Zion Church, or the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church for at least one year before applying. If your church is disaffiliated from The UMC, you may also apply.
