United Theological Seminary Goard of Trustees is searching for its next president of United, to succeed President Kent Millard following his retirement in June 2026.

Qualifications of candidate includes:

  • Previously held leadership and administrative positions that required managing the complexity of multiple constituencies.
  • Possesses well-developed speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to persuade and influence in formal and inspirational settings.
  • Able to present theological and biblical insights accurately and engagingly.
  • Brings national experience.
  • Demonstrates competence with a desire to lead and fully participate in fundraising and advancement efforts, traveling as necessary to secure commitments from partners, foundations, and individual donors.
  • Committed to working closely with the Board of Trustees in advancing the Seminary’s mission by implementing the Seminary’s strategic plan (available upon request.
  • Possesses an earned doctoral degree in a relevant field and meets the qualifications for resident faculty.
