This year marks the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, which devastated the U.S. Gulf Coast in August 2005. A UM News team will be marking the anniversary with “Hope Beyond the Storm: 20 Years After Katrina”- a collection of stories from leaders and members of churches who served those devastated areas in the aftermath.

Ginghamsburg United Methodist Church in Tipp City, Ohio, which sent over 100 teams to the area, was one of those churches featured in the collection.
