Demo Days Underway at Camp Wesley

In the warmth of the morning of Saturday, June 7, a team of volunteers gathered at Camp Wesley for the first of three Demo Days at the West Ohio camp. Volunteers included individuals and church groups.

Camp Wesley Demo Days are opportunities for volunteers to come together in community at Camp Wesley to prepare the grounds and buildings for renovation. Camp Wesley is set to relaunch in 2026.

Planned updates to Camp Wesley include remodeling the lodge, the dining hall, and the erection of a new storage and maintenance building.

Over two Saturdays, the team removed cabinets, plumbing, ceiling tiles, and carpeting from the buildings while volunteers mowed lawns and cleared weeds outside. The lake reclamation has begun as weeds and muck (decomposing plants and algae) have been removed, making the lake clear and swimmable again.

Saturday, June 28 is the last opportunity this month to volunteer for Camp Wesley Demo Days. There is no skill level necessary to participate.
