Fall Volunteer Work Days at Wesley!
Demolition is complete and we are ready for construction to begin. There are several projects that need to be completed that are not within the scope of major building renovation that we will be working on during our fall volunteer workdays at Camp Wesley.
If you are handy with tools and want to join in the fun, you can join the crew on the first Saturday of September, October, or November at Camp Wesley from 9am-2pm. Camp Wesley is located at 653 Township Road 37 E, Bellefontaine, Oh 43311.
Each Saturday there will be a group working on trail maintenance. If you have a chainsaw, weed eater, or tree loppers bring them and help us get the trail ready for winter to make next spring’s preparation for summer easier.
If you’d rather help build things, bring your battery powered saws, drills or hammers, we will be working on the following construction projects:
September 6th-We will be working on repairing a bridge and several small storage sheds around the property, as well as deconstructing the seating in our outdoor worship space.
Oct. 4th- We will be working on a new seating area in our outdoor worship space.
November 1st-We will be working on fixing kitchen cabinets in the dining hall & residence.
Each Saturday we will review the project plans for the day, have fun working together, enjoy lunch, and have plenty of water. If you have questions or will be bringing a group from your congregation please contact Director of Engagement with Children, Youth, and Young Adults Rev. Ann Marie Carley (amcarley@wocumc.org, 380.223.9369). We hope you’ll join us, if not in person, in prayer for all that God has done, is doing, and will do through Wesley.
