This spring, the West Ohio Conference Laity Discernment Retreat drew 16 people to gather in conversation and learn more about listening to God’s call.  Led by Kim LaRue and Barb Knight, this group has begun responding to their call by engaging in diverse areas of ministry.

With this success, more Laity Discernment Retreats are scheduled this Summer for June 16, 23, and August 4.

Are you someone feeling God’s call but do not know what to do next? If so, then this is the Retreat for you!  At the Laity Discernment Retreats, you will:

• Talk about what your call
• Discuss the meaning of called by our baptism
• Learn how to pray for discernment
• Discover Spiritual Rhythms
• Discuss various opportunities the laity can serve their church and communities

Each virtual retreat will consist of 2 two-hour ZOOM sessions and a two-hour debrief six weeks later. During the six weeks between sessions, participants will have time to read, reflect, and practice Spiritual Rhythms to help lead them to understand their call.

• Monday, June 23, 2025, 6:30-8:30pm
• Monday, August 4, 2025, 6:30-8:30pm
