In this course you will be challenged and learn about the biblical, theological, and historic foundations of John and Charles Wesley and how it can be applied to today in our Christian communities.  This course will help you answer: How are you and your congregation helping your members grow in faith, confirm their hope, and be perfected in love?  You will need to order and purchase the book Accountable Discipleship: Living in God’s Household by Steven Manskar, ISBN 978-0-88177-339-2, available at Cokesbury or Amazon, prior to class.   Please pre-read the book prior to class. Please bring your book, Bible, and note paper to class.

Class is limited to 20 participants.  A Certified Lay Servant Class, it is an optional course for those seeking to be certified as a Lay Servant or recertified as a Lay Speaker.  Approval of the participant’s pastor, as well as of the charge conference or church council, is also required for one to become a Certified Lay Servant or Lay Speaker.
