Nicholas Shaw, pastor in The West Ohio Conference, received his Master of Divinity degree from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Miami University (OH). While serving at several churches in West Ohio, Nick and his wife, Renee, felt called to missionary service. Renee Shaw earned a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communications from Miami University and most recently managed several coffee shops in the Columbus area. Nick and Renee have four children: Harrison, Porter, Simon, and Corbin.
Nick and Renee will serve as missionaries at The English-Speaking School of Lubumbashi (TESOL) in Lubumbashi, DRC, the second largest city in the country. TESOL was founded in 1986 and serves pre-K through secondary school students. Nick and Renee expect to teach elementary-age students, as well as work in administration. In addition, Renee will help with planning and curriculum, and Nick will provide IT support, maintenance, and community and conference relations.
