United Methodist Men of West Ohio seek to fill volunteer leadership positions

The United Methodist Men of the West Ohio Conference is actively working to energize men’s ministries in the local churches within each district. Our purpose is to support leaders and men involved in ministering to other men in order to bring them closer into a relationship with Christ. To meet this challenge, we are looking to fill several key volunteer leadership positions that will assist the UMM leadership team in this highly critical effort within our conference. UMM Conference Treasurer 

In this role, the main responsibility will be to administer UMM funds including overseeing the organization’s existing accounts and potentially opening new accounts, managing incoming deposits and operational expenditures as well as properly keeping track of balances and assets. Preparing financial reports and providing a monthly overview to the president and leadership team during monthly meetings or whenever requested. Duties will also include assisting with fundraising plans from time to time. Bookkeeping experience is preferred.

UMM Conference Secretary 

To assist with communications at the conference level. Send notices and attend all executive board meetings, take notes, summarize and communicate information to leadership team and other concerned parties at the conference level. Duties will also involve safe storage and retrieval of meeting notes and records deemed as official business for future reference. 

UMM Conference District President (5 openings: Foothills, Shawnee Valley, Maumee Watershed, Ohio River and Northwest Plains)

The district president's primary responsibility shall be to oversee and work with a leadership team within the assigned district to support local churches providing guidance, in coordination with the conference leadership team, in the critical areas of mobilizing, energizing and growing men’s ministries. This includes communicating and working with local presidents to equip and disciple men in the church help them grow closer to Christ in their spiritual journey. The district president will be a member of the conference executive team and will report to that body. Previous leadership experience is preferred.
