North Broadway UMC Sprague Leadership Institute, with support from MTSO, and in partnership with Columbus Sanctuary Collective, the Columbus Mennonite Church and Community Refugee and Immigration (CRIS) presents: Sanctuary For All, a faith-based conversation and workshop about the Accompaniment Movement on Thursday, July 18, 10:45 am - 4:30 pm. Keynote speaker, Ravi Ragbir, is an immigration rights activist at New Sanctuary Coalition in New York. Ravi will share key principles of the New Sanctuary Movement, 'Accompaniment', and how communities and individuals can engage; the state of sanctuary, immigration and refugees in Central Ohio. This workshop will be followed by Accompaniment Movement volunteer training from 5:30-7:30 pm. (Note: the daytime workshop is not a requirement to attend the evening training session.)
Registration is required for both sessions; cost for the daytime workshop is $15 per person (includes lunch), there is no cost for the volunteer training in the evening. Click here for more information and registration.
