Reimagining the Ministry of Healing and Wholeness

When we are physically ill, modern medicine helps restore our health. Yet, there are times a spiritual healing cannot be reached by modern medicine. Intentional Healing Ministries in local churches can serve as a conduit to those suffering spiritually to become whole to live and thrive in the life God has for us.

Two United Methodist pastors, created a program to encourage local churches to create Intentional Healing Ministries at their local church. Rev. John I. Penn and The Rev. James K. Wagner began this journey while working for the Upper Room Ministries.

Endorsed by the publisher of the Upper Room devotional, Kimberly Orr, material for the ministry include printed resources (books and guidelines for small group study) and an introductory video to provide in depth information. In addition, an open Zoom meeting for interactive discussion in open for participants every fourth Thursday, of the month.
