Hunger Network Offers Micro Grants for Voter Registration

Does your church's food pantry, meal program, or other outreach ministry want to do voter registration? The Hunger Network in Ohio is working with other state and national partners to try a new voter registration program in 2019. In Ohio, as in many other states, low-income, African American, and other minority groups are drastically under-represented in our state and national elections. The drop-off is even larger in local and municipal elections that impact our schools, cities, towns, and courts! The goal is to close the registration gap and make sure the voices of our communities are heard by all elected officials and candidates. To that end, the Hunger Network in Ohio is offering $200 micro-grants to programs that commit to doing voter registration in August and September.
