Early September, Otterbein Senior Life held a grand opening celebration for their newest assisted living community, the Oakwood. The occasion was attended by residents, Otterbein Pemberville and corporate board members.
Integrated into the Otterbein Pemberville community, the Oakwood was built with cutting edge design to provide a comfortable lifestyle for assisted living residents. “The Oakwood is a beautiful addition to our Pemberville community and advances a vision of local leaders birthed in the 1970’s,” said Bill Brownson, Vice Chair of Otterbein’s Corporate Board.
The Oakwood will double the capacity from 32 to 64 assisted living suites. Each suite is equipped with its own bath and kitchenette. The design of the two- story complex offers common space on each floor for family visitations, sitting rooms and family style dining. The previous assisted living building will be renovated to become a new nursing wing.
An affiliated ministry of the West Ohio Annual Conference, Otterbein SeniorLife has been a leader in continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) for 110 years. Otterbein Pemberville opened in the 1970’s.
Members receive unlimited lifestyle options through independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, rehab, memory support, respite care, in-home care, and hospice services.
