The United Methodist Foundation of West Ohio is excited to announce the final total for funds raised to support the Wings of the Morning special appeal called “Help God’s Love Take Flight.” The original goal was $20,000, but thanks to the generosity of individual United Methodists and congregations across West Ohio, that goal was exceeded by over $30,000! The final total raised was $51,877!
Since bringing this urgent need to the attention of West Ohio, Wings of the Morning pilot Gaston Ntambo has retrieved the plane from South Africa where it was undergoing critical repairs, and flights in the Congo have resumed. Our support allowed Gaston to retain his employees on the ground and purchase the fuel and other necessary supplies to get the program in the air again after a six-month hiatus.
“We thank God and the people of West Ohio for a wonderful miracle indeed and for answering to our prayers,” Gaston says. “We are strengthened daily by your continued prayers and financial generosity.”
Thank you, West Ohio, for your generosity and for supporting the mission of Wings of the Morning!
