Building Bridges Offers Reentry Strategies, Connections

The 2022 All In Community Building Bridges Community Experience will take place October 12-13, either online or at one of five host sites across Ohio. Each year at the Community Experience, participants learn about emerging reentry trends and connect with co-laborers to create more positive reentry opportunities and experiences within their local community.

This year's experience is designed to provide information you need to offer a safer and more stable H.O.M.E. (Housing Opportunities and Meaningful Employment). The keynote speaker will be Diane M. Shelley, United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Midwest Regional Administrator.

Following Shelley's remarks, she will "sit down" with Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) Office of Reentry Deputy Director Ronette Burkes-Trowsdell and Ohio Association of Local Reentry Coalition's (OALRC) President Tom Luettke for an

in-depth discussion on actionable steps community reentry coalition leaders can take to address their local housing issues.

Registration is now open and is free to Ohio residents! The cost is $25 for out-of-state participants. Host sites will be offered in Akron, Athens, Cincinnati, Columbus, and Toledo, as well as an all-virtual option.
