Life Enriching Communities (LEC) is an integrated family of lifestyle communities and senior living services. We have made aging well a top priority for over 120 years.
Established in Yellow Spring Ohio as the Methodist Home for the Aged, LEC now serves over 1700 older adults annually in Southwestern Ohio primarily with two established senior living communities - Twin Towers in the College Hill neighborhood of Cincinnati and Twin Lakes located in Montgomery, Ohio. Both communities offer a continuum of services that support residents as their health needs change. With patio homes/villas for independent lifestyles, assisted living, memory support assisted living, skilled nursing/rehab and long term care nursing all on one campus, residents are assured they will receive the right amount of service at just the right time.
LEC operates under principles established by the United Methodist Church and provides services and accommodations that meet individual's spiritual, vocational, physical, social, intellectual and psychological needs. Expanding on this framework, the Twin Towers and Twin Lakes campuses host on-site fitness and wellness centers for residents and people in the surrounding communities. State-of-the-art exercise equipment, 25 foot warm water pools and expert fitness classes are available for staying healthy and fit. LEC reaches out to the local Methodist congregations by providing a Speaker's Bureau which brings information regarding relevant topics on aging well to the church campuses.
As a Methodist-affiliated organization we have always had a foundation in spirituality. This long-standing commitment to spiritual health, including the services of full-time chaplains, sets us apart from similar communities. Our ministry provides worship services, life transition and bereavement counseling, and study programs to those residents, families, and associates who want it. With over 27 religions practiced across our campuses, our Pastoral Care team provides the ways and means for people to celebrate within their own faith traditions. Retired Methodist ministers who have chosen to live at Twin Towers or Twin Lakes also support the Pastoral Care ministry.
For those interested in aging well in their own homes, LEC offers Confident Living, the first Continuing Care at Home program in southwest Ohio. Confident Living helps individuals protect savings and prepare for unexpected changes in health, while providing innovative options to help increase vitality and longevity making it easier to live life where they want - at home.
Through the generosity of others, the Life Enriching Communities Foundation supports the growing needs of residents and associates, allowing people to live their best life every day. Funds raised for Benevolent Care, allow residents of Twin Towers and Twin Lakes to continue to live in their homes regardless of their financial situation. Gifts make an immediate impact- offering vital resources and diverse opportunities for those who live and work in our community.
