Kristin Hubbard is originally from St. Paris, OH, and attends St. Paris United Methodist Church. She studied Japanese at Wittenburg University before transferring to Urbana University, where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Humanities. Before becoming a missionary, Kristin worked at a nursing home, where she led activities with residents in the adult day services program.
Kristin will serve as an Individual Volunteer missionary with the General Board of Global Ministries at the Asian Rural Institute in Nasushiobara, Japan, from Feb 3-May 3, 2018. The mission of the Asian Rural Institute is to build an environmentally healthy, just and peaceful world, in which each person can live to his or her fullest potential. Leaders, both women and men, who live and work in grassroots rural communities primarily in Asia, Africa and the Pacific, form a community of learning each year together with staff and other residents. Kristin will start with a three-month term and see where God leads from there.
Please be in prayer for Kristin during her time in Japan, and as God leads her in the future! Read her latest newsletter here!
