We Are All God's Children

During Annual Conference 2017, Recommendation #4, known as "We Are All God's Children" was passed by the voting body. This recommendation references the actions of the 2016 General Conference in affirming the role and responsibilities of the United Methodist Church in welcoming and caring for immigrants, including refugees fleeing danger and violence in their home countries. Through this recommendation, it is resolved that the West Ohio Conference affirms the human rights of all immigrants. Read the full recommendation.




Immigration - Faith in Action

As people of faith, The United Methodist Church has a long history of welcoming and supporting immigrants and refugees, (Book of Resolutions, 3281).  Our values are deeply rooted in our sacred texts and remind us to love our neighbor and welcome the sojourner among us. "The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born.
