Town & Rural Resource Program Workshop
Saturday, October 12, 2013 - 9:00am to 4:00pm
TARRP’s Developing Effective Leadership Workshop – The Changing Face of Town & Country Ministry: Making It Work!

There has been a change in rural ministry in our lifetime.   What worked previously, no longer works today.  It is important we understand these changes and their implications for ministry.  Learn how our thinking about God, the church and ourselves may contribute to the decline in our churches.  Be equipped with tools to understand where we are and where we need to go.  Learn how to make a disciple and how to connect to those with no church affiliation.

Speaker, Rev. Ed Kail, is an outstanding pastor, teacher, trainer, and advocate for small town and rural churches. He was the sitting chair of Town & Country Ministries at St. Paul School of Theology, teaching with an emphasis on rural and small churches.  He was the President of the UM Rural Fellowship, an education and advocacy organization working to promote and empower rural ministries, churches, and people.  He was the lead pastor in a blended parish, serving four communities.  He is a former District Superintendent and District Field Outreach Minister.

Registration deadline is October 4th. Registration includes lunch, snacks, handouts. Brochure attached below.
