2021 Advent Clergy Day Apart

All West Ohio Conference clergy, retired and active, are invited to participate in an Advent Clergy Day Apart entitled Breathing into the Mysteries of Advent on November 30, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.  The event will be held virtually via Zoom. 

Registration is required and will end at 8:00 am on November 29To register you will need your username and password to log in to our system. If you are unsure of that information contact your district office. Once you register the Zoom information will be emailed to you as part of your confirmation.

Keynote Speaker: The Reverend Lisa Magdalena Hess, teaching-elder in the PCUSA and Professor of Practical Theology and Contextual Ministries at United Theological Seminary will be the keynote speaker. Her invitation to you will be to engage with the first three Christian mysteries—the Annunciation, the Visitation, and the Nativity—as Advent and the Christmas season beckons you deeper into the Spirit’s care. The session will include plenary, spiritual practice, and circle-way wisdom for wearied and overworked leaders.

Worship Leaders: The Reverend Katya Brodbeck (Powell UMC) and her husband, Joshua Brodbeck (Minister of Music at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church) will envelop our time in worship.

Come into some space held just for you, to breathe, to listen, to rest and repeat.
