Mariellyn Dunlap Grace was born and raised in rural eastern Ohio. She graduated from Malone University in Canton, OH, in 2002 with a degree in Communication Arts. In 2003, Mariellyn joined the Volunteers in Action program through World Gospel Mission and spent six weeks on the American Indian Field in Arizona and seven weeks in Choluteca, Honduras. In June 2004, Mariellyn moved to Bratislava, Slovakia, to work as a missionary journalist for Trans World Radio, a ministry that broadcasts Christian programming in more than 200 languages around the world. In 2007, Mariellyn was commissioned as a US-2 Young Adult Missionary through the United Methodist Church. She spent two years as the assistant director of Religious Life at Martin Methodist College in Tennessee. Mariellyn's latest venture as a Church and Community Worker has taken her back to her home state of Ohio, where she works at the Charitable Pharmacy of Central Ohio in Columbus. Mariellyn is married to the Rev. Ryan Grace, who has three children: Will, Eva, and Lily. Together, they have a daughter, Laurie Ellyn.
Mariellyn serves as the Patient Services Director of the Charitable Pharmacy of Central Ohio, located near downtown Columbus. Mariellyn works with patients who cannot afford their prescriptions to qualify them to receive free medications from the Pharmacy. She also refers patients to other social services and helps them find free or low-cost medical care, as needed. In the future, Mariellyn will be involved in expanding and possibly replicating the Charitable Pharmacy in other communities throughout West Ohio. Mariellyn also works part-time in the office of Connectional Ministries at the West Ohio Conference, using her background in journalism to create documentaries and write articles regarding the Conference's mission projects and personnel.
