Zoom fatigue. Decision fatigue. Compassion fatigue. It’s been a challenging year in so many ways. This Mini focuses on helping you and your team discover/rediscover a sacred rhythm of personal prayer. A sacred rhythm of prayer will help you arrange your life for spiritual transformation. Establishing a sacred rhythm could be one of the most important choices to move into this next season of ministry and life.

About Karen: 

Rev. Cook has served as pastor of several Columbus-area United Methodist Churches, including St. Luke’s, Hilltop, Crossroads, and the UMC for All People. She is currently Assistant to the District Superintendent for the Capitol Area North District and Director of Community Ministries for the Capitol Area Districts. In addition to her leadership in the church, she has served as a workshop and retreat leader across the state.  Rev. Cook has also served on several conference committees, task forces, and Boards related to faith communities and nonprofit agencies.  She was elected to serve as a delegate to the 2016 & 2020 General and Jurisdictional conferences as well as 2019 Special General Conference. Rev. Cook is married to Broderick and they have three sons, one daughter-in-love, and one granddaughter.

About Brenda:

As the Executive Spiritual Director for Living Streams Flowing Water (www.livingspiritualstreamsflowingwater.com), Rev. Dr. Brenda Buckwell engages individuals and communities around the world through spiritual direction and coaching. She teaches prayer, spiritual formation, and spiritual direction at Garrett-Evangelical Theological and Ashland Seminaries and is part of the ecumenical international teaching team for CenterQuest spiritual direction training program. She enjoys swimming, reading, contemplative walking, and playing with the grandchildren. Brenda strives to be Amma for her grandchildren and children opening the way for each to experience God's deep joy.
