Family CONNECT
Your family won’t want to miss a chance to connect with other families at Lakeside. All Family Connect events are focused on developing relationships while having fun. A parent or adult guardian must accompany all children while attending an event for families. These events are free.

Sunday, June 3
Check-in and Family Photo Scavenger Hunt
Time: 1-7pm
Location: South Auditorium
Stop by the Family Connect check-in booth to snap a family photo, make a name tag, and pick up a copy of your family’s Do Not Be Afraid: There is Enough journal. This journal is filled with activities to support individual and family faith learning and conversations. Inside the journal are directions for the family photo scavenger hunt that can be completed any time throughout Annual Conference. Use your phone to capture your photos and share them using the hashtag #connectwoc
Monday, June 4
Pray & Play
Time: 10:30-11:30am
Location: Central Park (Rain Location: Upper Pavilion)
Let’s get the fun started! Connect with other families at the Central Park playground for prayer plus running, jumping, climbing, and playing. Sidewalk chalk, bubbles, parachutes, balls, and playground equipment will be provided.
Pool Party
Time: 3:30-5pm
Location: Grindley Aquatic & Wellness Campus (located on the corner of Laurel Avenue and Sixth Street)
Enjoy the brand new 6,000 square foot pool featuring heated water, zero-depth entry, a water slide, five lap lanes and an expansive pool deck for families to gather. The water slide has two fiberglass flumes; one open and the other closed. Let’s splash around!
Tuesday, June 5
Putt-Putt
Time: 1:30-3:30pm
Location: Miniature Golf Course
You can’t come to Lakeside and not play mini golf! Engage in a great time golfing with your family and maybe even challenge another family to a friendly competition.
Party @ Rock the Dock
Time: 8-10pm
Location: West Pavilion Dock
Nothing says fun like dancing the night away. Join us for family friendly tunes and an extra helpings of silliness.

NEW! Kid CONNECT
Kid Connect is an action packed 1.5 hours especially designed for children ages 5-12. Kids will attend all three days: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Kids will worship and participate in hands-on learning activities, a scripture lesson based on Feeding the Five Thousand (Matthew 14:13-21), prayer, games, and lots of fun. In addition, a mission project has been designed to build relationships and support the Kamina Children’s Home located in the Democratic Republic of Congo. These events are led by our West Ohio Conference CONNECT leadership team.

Ages: Kids 5-12 years old
Cost: $15 per kid or $50 fee per family. Space is limited to 50 kids.
Dates/Times: Note that a parent or guardian must check-in and pick up kids each day of the Kid Connect events.

NEW! Camp CONNECT
Camp Connect is an off-site, overnight experience during Annual Conference that allows campers to discover why there is no reason to be afraid at camp or in life when we have God on our side. Whether it is sliding down the turbo-shoot into the pond, fishing for the colossal Casey, shooting an arrow from our two-story range, or even taking on the challenge course and bouldering wall God is ever present, meaning no need for fear in the face of these exciting adventures. Campers will have fun, make new friends, and discover God’s outdoor creation all while worshipping and learning. Please email camps [at] wocumc.org for more information.
Dates/Times: Monday, June 4, 8 am – Tuesday June 5, 4 pm (A bus will pick-up campers on Monday, June 4 at 8am on the west side of Hoover Auditorium. Campers will return to the same spot on Tuesday, June 5 at 5:30pm. A parent must accompany their child at drop-off and pick-up with ID.)
