|1. “Sabbath Hacks” - Kirsch Hall
Led by Rev. Dr. Dan Gildner, United Seminary Dean of Chapel
Sabbath time for many clergy is easier said than done. How can you allow for a more robust Sabbath time? Join colleague Dan Gildner as he leads a practical conversation around ways to create space for Sabbath practices as well as some suggestions for a life grounded in Sabbath rest and reflection.
|2. A Service of Healing - Youth Room
Led by colleagues in Extension Ministry
Sometimes we all feel depleted, burdened, sad. Ministry brings us into places where grief is real, or situations carry trauma. Clergy may experience cumulative grief in ministry. Join West Ohio colleagues who serve in chaplaincy as they lead us in a time to put our burdens down, to be still, and to know we are not alone. This service will include anointing with healing oil as well as times of prayer.
|3. “Just Breathe” - Meeting Room C
Led by Rev. Amy Aspey, Deacon, Short North Church
During times of stress, we often find ourselves literally and figuratively holding our breath. Finding ways to integrate mindful breathing into our lives is life-giving for our mind, body and spirits. This experiential workshop will explore practices for finding our breath through meditation, prayer and gentle movement. These practices can be done anywhere and don't require anything but a willingness to breathe.
|4. Prayer Room - Meeting Room B
Perhaps you just want some space to be quiet and listen. The Clergy Day team will have a room open for contemplation and prayer. We will offer scripture, books, paper to journal, and an altar to allow you time to be “still and know I am God”.
