Funding the Vision
For the past decade, the
West Ohio Conference
has been working intentionally to be a faithful and
fruitful expression of the Kingdom of God. Ohio West Area Bishop Ough clarified the journey of the
conference with a VISION that models Jesus’ disciple-making process. The purpose of the VISION
is to support the local churches of West Ohio to be healthy, growing, spiritually vital, risk-taking
centers in their mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
The VISION has five parts:
Radical Hospitality
Passionate Worship
Faith-Forming Relationships
Risk-Taking Mission & Service
Extravagant Generosity
At the core of our journey toward achieving our vision is
a strategic plan with five key Breakthrough Ministry areas
designed to increase our capacity to fulfill our mission
and vision. The five Breakthrough Ministry areas are:
Living a Culture of Call
Resourcing for Making Disciples and Fruitful
Connecting for Mission, Justice and Healing
Exemplifying a Commitment to Stewardship
Leading with Missional Alignment
Funding the Vision is only possible by the gifts of our
generous donors. By sharing their gifts through the
Council on Development, West Ohio donors provide
vital resources which support the ministries of our
local churches, our conference, and our denomination.
All of our strategic efforts are to provide the tools for
stewardship and the financial support necessary for our
United Methodist mission of making Disciples of Jesus
Christ to transform the world. For more information
on how to be a part of Funding the Vision, contact the
Council on Development. Following are eight ways you
can help.
