Our God-given mission is to make disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Methodism's founder John Wesley reminded us that we are called to step out of our little corner of the world to spread the good news, transform hopelessness into hope and help God's children wherever they may be.
No matter how or where we serve serve Jesus Christ, United Methodists do God's work in a unique structure referred to as "the connection." This concept has been central to the Methodist movement from its beginning and comes to life through our clergy appointment system, our mission and outreach, and through our collective giving.
Please join Bishop Ough and other conference and district leaders at the Together We Can event in your district. Both clergy and lay persons will have a chance to be heard, ask questions about our connection and apportionment system, and receive information about the ministries our faithful stewardship supports and how that stewardship is making our churches stronger.
