An exciting opportunity awaits West Ohio Conference United Methodists on July 20, 2010 when Bishop and Char Ough lead an Oberammergau Passion Play Pilgrimage.

 

Many of you know the powerful, moving story of the Passion Play and hope to have the opportunity one day to witness this magnificent presentation. Thanks to Educational Opportunities (EO) this cherished opportunity now exists. You will want to be a part of this historic pilgrimage and join the Bishop, Char and our fellow West Ohio United Methodists as we share the experience of this privileged pilgrimage.

 

 

Date: July 20, 2010

 

Event: A nine-day pilgrimage in the heart of Europe centering on the Oberammergau Passion Play and including visits to Innsbruck, Salzburg and magnificent historic castles and cathedrals. You will stay in a picturesque village in the Wipptal region of Austria in a chalet type family hotel.

 

Cost: $2,998 plus $298 for a round-trip airfare from Cleveland or $348 from Cincinnati, Columbus or Dayton to our international departure city plus $298 for the Passion Play ticket. Regular fees are in addition. Your basic cost includes round trip international airfare, deluxe motor coaches, first class hotels, guided sightseeing, entrance fees, and breakfast and dinner daily. This pilgrimage only occurs once every ten years so take advantage of this opportunity as prices will undoubtedly increase in ten years.

 

Extensions: Four seven-day extensions are available:

1.     Italian Pre-Tour ($1,898): includes visits to Christian Rome, Ancient Rome, Assisi, Siena, Pisa, Florence, Venice, Verona and the Alps

2.     Switzerland Extension ($1,698): includes visits to Bern, Chillon, Montreux, Geneva, Gruyeres, Lausanne, Zermatt, Gornergrat, Interlaken, Brienz and Lucerne

3.     Vienna-Prague Extensions ($1,798): includes visits to Melk Abbey, Vienna, Vienna Woods, Prague, Heidelberg and Worms

4.     Village Stay Extension ($898): stay in one of the Educational Opportunities housing villages and explore the Alpine Village and the surrounding region

 

Earned Trips: Seven full-paying passengers earns a trip; 15 full-paying Passion Play ticket purchases earns a ticket.
