In Vietnam, some parents do not have the ability to care for their children. Though the country shows much promise economically, there are families without the support system necessary to keep children in the home. United Methodist-sponsored orphanages provide a safe, stable environment for children to grow. Here, teenagers as well as adults share the responsibilities of care. Toys, a comfortable place to sleep, and nutritious meals are provided on site. A high ratio of caregivers to children enables close relationships and a nurturing, family environment. These and other children live in a secure home with discipline and love. To expand God’s kingdom, The United Methodist Church in Vietnam sponsors three orphanages, housing children who otherwise would be left without a proper home.
