Healing Communities USA is a framework for ministry with men and women returning from incarceration, victims of crime, the families of both, and the larger community. Healing Communities trainings helps congregations, through mobilization of their existing resources, to become “Stations of Hope” for persons affected by the criminal-justice system.
In partnership with the General Board of Church and Society and Healing Communities USA, the West Ohio Conference uses this training as a foundation for equipping and supporting AIC churches to respond to the devastating effects of mass incarceration in each church’s mission field.
We have four WOC Healing Communities trainers available to conduct training and coaching sessions with individual churches or groups of churches. Download the PDF for our trainer profiles.
The WOC also hosts Healing Communities trainings throughout the year. These trainings will be listed in Upcoming Events.
