Case Management in Marion County
Debra Berry, of LaRue, OH, has been designated by the West Ohio Conference as the UMCOR Disaster Case Manager for Marion County, following the flooding that occurred in December of 2013. Debra has previously served as a local pastor at Pleasant Bend and Holgate United Methodist churches. "My heart was in mission and outreach while serving in northwest Ohio and still is," Debra says. "This new aspect of being case manager for UMCOR in assisting with flood relief in Marion County is a way that I am able to stay connected and bring help to the residents who have great needs right now." The towns of LaRue, Green Camp, and Prospect in Marion County are prone to flooding, the last severe flood occurring in June of 2015. "I look forward to representing UMCOR and the West Ohio Conference as a volunteer case manager and pray that we are able to bring help and hope to those who still have unmet needs in the communities affected," Debra remarks.
