Greg Henneman was born in Toledo, OH, and spent most of his youth in Kokomo, IN, and Neenah, WI. With a BA in History from the University of Maryland and an MA in International Relations from the University of Oklahoma, Greg spent 20 years in the Air Force in food supply and distribution, and later as an historian. While in the Air Force, Greg traveled to South Korea, Germany, England, Italy, Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia. Following his time in the Air Force, Greg attended seminary and received his M Div from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University while serving as pastor of Rio Vista and Kopperl United Methodist Churches in Central Texas. He then went on to serve as Associate Pastor of Central United Methodist Church in Albuquerque, NM. Greg and his wife, Jennifer, have two sons: Noah and Nathan.
Greg serves as the director of the HEAL program at Community Development for All People on the south side of Columbus, OH. HEAL stands for Healthy Eating And Living and aims to transform people's lives by providing them with the tools to make informed and healthy choices. This transformation is accomplished through coaching and classes, the distribution of produce at the fresh market, feeding people at a daily meal called Loaves and Fishes, and enabling people through the demonstration kitchen. "When the disciples stood before a hungry crowd, Jesus said to the disciples, 'You feed them.' Most of my adult life has centered around feeding others," Greg says. "My plan is to listen to people's hopes for their own health (physical, emotional, spiritual) and provide the resources that allow them to fully receive God's gift of life."
