The Appalachian Ministry Network (AMN) is designated by The United Methodist Church to work with local, district, conference and general church leadership to develop coordinated ministries that seek justice for all God's people in Appalachia.
To be a society where all people in Appalachia are valued for who we are; where all are called to be disciples for Jesus Christ; and where all have the opportunity to realize our God-created spiritual, social and economic potential.
- To provide education and training for local church leaders, lay and clergy, in an Appalachian context. (Focus Area: Developing Leaders and Revitalization)
- To provide education and awareness for advocacy on issues that impact Appalachia. (Focus Area: Health Care)
- To support ministry that addresses systemic causes of poverty in Appalachia. (Focus Area: Eradicating Poverty)
